
Great productions such as “Estado de Alarma” with Lara Dibildos, “Inmaduros” with Carlos Sobera, “Remátame Otra Vez” with Belinda Washington, “Intruso” by Ara Malikian and “El Lago de Los Cisnes”; along with comedy shows by Miguel Lago, David Navarro, Juan Amodeo and also Los Morancos; the magic of Jorge Luengo, the concert with DJ of the Royal Concert Orchestra, tributes to Sabina, Michael Jackson, Vaiana and The Beatles, and a variety of shows with local talent, make up the program of the September-December 2025 season of Torrevieja Culture.
The Councillor for Culture, Antonio Quesada and the coordinator of culture of the City of Torrevieja, Manuel Esteban Moreno, in collaboration with the team of Culture Torrevieja, presented this morning the Cultural Programming September-December 2025, a wide and varied offer that features concerts, theater, dance, children, comedy and more.
With only 7 months so far this year, the Municipal Theatre and the International Auditorium of Torrevieja have had 103 opening sessions between them, with more than 53,000 attendees. Unforgettable shows of international stature have been experienced, such as the concerts of Marta Santos and Antoñito Molina, the comedy La Función Que Sale Mal, the musical El Médico and the impressive Phantom of the Opera, which has been sold out in its 4 presentations. To end 2025 on a high note, more than 50 shows are expected to make the closing of the year an unmissable date with culture.
September
Although the cultural program for the next four-month period officially starts in September, it is noteworthy that there will be a preview on August 23 with the presentation of “Estado de Alarma”, starring Lara Dibildos and César Lucendo, a play that tells the story of a couple of strangers who get locked in a disastrous apartment during the first days of the pandemic. The play, despite being an amusing comedy, approaches the subject with sensitivity and respect.
September will begin with the tenth edition of the film festival “Torrevieja Audiovisual”, followed by the first presentation of the cycle “Flamenco y Sal” and the premiere of the comedy “Inmaduros”, with Carlos Sobera, which is about two fifty-year-olds who begin to rethink the link with the women in their lives.
We will continue with the I Cycle of Street Theater “Salpa Fuera”, with 3 new proposals in September, October and December. As well as the two concerts within the V Cycle of Music in the Park.
The month continues with the family show “La Cenicienta: El musical con ritmo de los 50” which puts a twist on the classic story, followed by Los Morancos’ “Bis a Bis” comedy show, where the famous comedians end up in prison for their “high level of humor offense.”
We will end, among others, with the 37th International Choral Encounter “City of Torrevieja”, which promises to be an outstanding event in the musical panorama, organized by the Francisco Vallejos Choir.
October
The month will begin with a concert by The Flamming Shakersone of the best Beatles tribute bands in Europe according to critics. We will also have the humor monologue of comedian and youtuber Juan Amodeo and then, the first concert of the new season of the Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja (OST) which, under the direction of Adolfo Arronis, will focus on the classical repertoire of Sibelius and Tchaikovsky.
The dance company Nacho Duato will return to Torrevieja with his new tour with which he is touring various corners of the country and, a few days later, Borja Niso will present his “Ludovico Musical Experience”, an innovative show of piano and cello theatricalized.
This month will also see the beginning of a new cycle of the Viernes de Palacio, in which for four days we will enjoy this cycle of jazz with national and international artists.
The Torrevejense Musical Union (UMT) will return to welcome the autumn with its concert “Vientos de Otoño”, with the best original music for wind orchestra; followed by the concert “500 Nights: Sabina en las venas”, recognized as the best tribute to the master Sabina and that promises to thrill all his fans.
On October 24 and 25 we will celebrate the 12th International Singing Competition “Ricardo Lafuente”, a must in the panorama of international opera under the umbrella of the Patronato Municipal de Habaneras.
October will end with the family show “The Princess and the Pea” which reverses the famous children’s story, with another presentation of the “Flamenco and Salt” cycle and with the premiere of the play “Don Juan Tenorio” by José Zorrilla, performed by the Municipal Theater School, under the direction of Matías Antón.
November
The penultimate month of the year will open with the authentic and spectacular tribute to Michael Jackson entitled “He’s Back”, at the International Auditorium, with one of the best impersonators of the King of Pop in the world, impressive choreographies and amazing visual effects. That same night, but at the Municipal Theater, comedian David Navarro will perform with his stand-up show “No tengo remedio” (I’m hopeless), which promises to get a lot of laughs.
On November 8 we will celebrate at the Palacio de la Música the final of the 2nd Concurso de Jóvenes Talentos de Música, an opportunity to enjoy the virtuosity of young musicians.
Violinist Ara Malikian will return to our city with his show “Intruso”, to break schemes and transform the way we conceive classical music; and then the month will continue with two new editions of “Flamenco y Sal”, and then with the great children’s musical “La Isla de Maui”, inspired by the movie Vaiana. We will also have the long awaited coronation of the Queen of La Sal 2025-2026.
The month will end with the Royal Concert Orchestra presenting “DJ Symphonic”, an avant-garde and fascinating combination of symphony orchestra and DJ that will reinterpret great anthems of electronic pop music; and also with two concerts in honor of Santa Cecilia, one offered by the UMT and another by the band Sociedad Musical Ciudad de Torrevieja “Los Salerosos”.
December
The Christmas season will begin with “Lily: a tale of Torrevieja” and with the concert “Symphonic Pop Feeling” by Sette Voci with the Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja, a unique event where we will relive great pop hits.
We will then have the last edition of the “Flamenco y Sal” cycle; and then the monologue by Miguel Lago, where the humorist will demonstrate why he is still a great reference of stand-up in our country after 25 years of artistic career. A few days later, Jorge Luego will perform with his impressive magic show “Ensueños”, with disappearances, transformations, unions, mind readings and more acts that will make the real seem totally impossible.
The month will continue with UMT’s Christmas concert “Symphonic Gospel”, where they will perform with Voces de Barcelona Messengers and pianist Ramón Escalé; followed by the theatrical piece “Remátame Otra Vez”, a delirious comedy mystery in which a murder during a dinner party unleashes secrets, betrayals and, above all, situations as absurd as they are funny. It features performances by Belinda Washington, Jesús Cabrero, among others.
The season will end with the ballet show “Swan Lake”, a classical production with incredibly realistic scenic elements and dazzling costumes, ideal for the whole family.
In addition, during this four-month period, we will also be able to savor art in our exhibition halls. A total of 7 proposals ranging from the impressionism of Luis Cajal, through the hyperrealism of Jesús Inglés, to the “Everyday scenes” of Ekhaterina Romahskina and the experience of “A glimpse of the invisible” by Fran Berbel. Without forgetting the exhibition of the XXVII Speed Painting Contest that will take place in October.
With a variety of shows that promise to captivate all audiences, the Municipal Institute of Culture together with the UTE Culture Torrevieja continue working to keep our city as a cultural destination throughout the year.
